Mint where?
Messier.art — Poppin Eels is a follow up NFT collection available on this brand new marketplace! Remember Galactic Punks? What about Hellcats? The very first NFTs to launch on a new marketplace slap and these Eels are likely to go hard. Slapping hard Eels will improve development of Poppin projects and bring new dynamics to the colonies.
Mint cost on February 15th?
Stage 1| OGP Airdrop | 0.01 UST | 1 Eel — 24 h mint period.
Stage 2| Presale Whitelist | 25 UST | 1 per wallet — 10a ET / 2p UTC.
Stage 3| Public Mint | 50 UST | 10 per wallet — 12p ET / 4p UTC.
Charitable donations from Eels’ royalties?
Poppin Puffins have a charitable feature for their forever future royalties. What about Poppin Eels?! What a great question. 2.5% is a continuing part of our mission to promote nature conservation causes. As long as that remains true, we shall be donating 2.5% of all Puffin income to nature and conservation causes. Our first charity selection was the Puffin Project, but we can also begin to explore other foundations/charities/ngos.
Stage 1 | Eels airdropped to OGP?
OG Whitelist will be free, but it will not be an airdrop. It will be a free mint (+tiny transaction costs) open for 24 hours. This is a requirement of the mint process to make sure OG minted eels are part of the official generative collection.
1 per wallet. There are more than 600 wallets total. OGP status is governed by a snapshot taken of of the wallets on chain who minted in the first 48 hours (Poppin Puffin mint). This was promised before the mint and had been delayed along with helmets drop by RandomEarth being overloaded with work as a one man show.
(They have recently stepped up their game a lot.)

Stage 2 | Whitelist for Poppin Puffin Holders?
Per wallet as per the snapshot late in the day on February 7th. Each verified wallet holding a Poppin Puffin at that time is eligible for stage 2 WL mint presale. It will cost 25 UST per mint and they will be able to mint up to 1 per wallet (as decided and changed by Poppin Puffin Discord community through the DAO vote).
Stage 2 will take place after the 24 hour period of OGP mint and begin at 10a ET / 2p UTC. This period will last 2 hours for people to mint in before the next stage.
Stage 3 | Public Mint
At this stage anyone can mint as many as 10 Poppin Eels per wallet at a cost of 50 UST per Eel.
Stage 3 will take place 2 hours after the previous stage and begin at 12p ET / 4p UTC. This period will last indefinitely until all Eels are minted (tentatively).
Total Eels supply?
2706 is the simple answer, the only answer, and the answer you seek. AUK! The idea is rarity. It was decided to go with half of the Poppin Puffin supply; 2706 is exactly half. Plus, we believe that Terra ecosystem functions best for lower supply projects rather than high supply. Poppin Puffins purpose is to pass on to holders the development we all want, the team to go full time, and new utility to drop into the project. All we need is a few good men.
Rarity
Some of the rarest Eels may end up even more valuable than we can imagine. There are 10 Poppin Eels that are 1 of 1 sprinkled into the collection. Fingers crossed. Poppin Eels; gotta catch em all. This is one aspect. More rarity information will come out as it is publicly released.
Are you interested in getting into the colonies? Colony traits (glacier, lava, waves, and aurora) are rarer in Poppin Eels than in the main Poppin Puffin collection. Maxies will be hard pressed to find one of each at mint. Post mint you will be able to pick them up on Messier.art market. Seeing as how it is a brand new marketplace and listing only time will tell the affordability of the floor.
